Story
This will be my sixth Great North Run since Carol died in 2009.
The money raised has been used to fund research into a vaccine against the many types of meningitis, to successfully lobby parliament into introducing the men B vaccine into the childhood immunisation programme, and to support children and adults who have been left severely disabled after a meningitis infection.
Such good causes, so please support me if you can :)
